Employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the Sverdlovsk region began work on the Dyatlov Pass. On February 2, 1959, nine participants of the Ural Polytechnic Institute's tourist club, who were making a ski trip to the Northern Urals under the leadership of Igor Dyatlov, died in this place. The investigation intends to establish the causes of the tragedy. The prosecutor's office considers the priority versions of the incident to be a hurricane, an avalanche or a descent of snow plates.
