The Israeli occupation forces arrested hundreds of Palestinians in the village of Ras Karkar, west of Ramallah, in protest against the occupation authorities' attempts to take over the Jabal al-Risan area west of the village.

The wall and settlement resistance organization warned of the new plan, which the Israeli government is seeking to implement, through the construction of settlement roads connecting a number of settlements in the area with the Green Line.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said earlier in a statement that three citizens arrived at the Palestinian medical compound in Ramallah, wounded by rubber bullets during the clashes that broke out in the village of Ras Karkar.

Eyewitnesses said the Israeli army had dispersed a march in which hundreds of Palestinians took part, using rubber bullets and tear gas canisters.

For several days, the Israeli occupation forces have been working on a road through Palestinian lands near Ras Karkar to build an outpost, according to village council head Rabi Abu Fakhida.

West Ramallah, home to more than 100,000 Palestinians, is under constant Israeli attacks, with eight settlements in the area.
