The Palestinian security services on Wednesday released Palestinian detainee Suha Jabara, 31, after more than two months of detention on charges of collecting and receiving illegal money.

The family categorically denied the accusations and said the fundraising was to provide aid to the needy, asserting that the arrest of their daughter was part of the political arrests.

The detainee is also a strong American and Panamanian citizen, from the town of Tremsaya near Ramallah in the West Bank and the mother of three children.

She was released from her place of treatment at Al-Najah National University Hospital in Nablus, where she was transferred a while ago after her health deteriorated after being tortured inside the Authority's prisons, according to her family.

Amnesty International called for an investigation into Suha's ill-treatment and torture during the detention period.
