"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration today sent a request to the government to withdraw Andrei Neguza from the post of ambassador to the Russian Federation," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry did not specify what is connected with the request.

On December 18, 2017, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry recalled for consultations the ambassador in Moscow, Andrei Negutsu, for an indefinite period.

The president of the republic, Igor Dodon, called this decision a provocation by the government of the country and promised to do everything possible to return the diplomat.
