"Anger" but also "lassitude": many in the trade union procession of May 1, the "yellow vests" were only a few thousand on the streets this Saturday in France for this 25th day of demonstrations, their weakest mobilization since the beginning of the movement in November.

This unprecedented movement, which has been protesting the social and fiscal policies of the government for more than five months, has withered away over the last few months. According to a mid-day count of the Ministry of the Interior, regularly contested by the demonstrators, they were about 3,600 people in France, including a thousand in Paris under stormy weather.

In the capital, three declared demonstrations had been authorized by the prefecture, including one planned to make a tour of media headquarters in the west of the capital. The main procession of several hundred people started at the midday of the Lariboisière hospital, in the north of Paris, towards the Place de la Nation, further east.

The Paris police headquarters has renewed its prohibition to protest on the Champs-Elysees and in a perimeter including the National Assembly, the presidential palace of the Elysee and the area of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, seriously damaged mid -April by a fire.

In the late morning, about twenty "yellow vests" had distributed leaflets at Paris Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport to protest against the privatization of Aéroports de Paris. In Montpellier, there were nearly a thousand to demonstrate, according to the prefecture, and a few hundred in Marseille.

In a platform called "yellow vests: We are not fooled! ", Published on the website of the daily Libération , actresses like Juliette Binoche or Emmanuelle Béart, writers like Édouard Louis or Annie Ernaux, as well as 1,400 other actors of the world of the culture brought Saturday their support to the movement.
