As stated in the lawsuit, Trump allegedly "continues to violate the law, including constitutional rights, and continues to restrict Central Americans in the right to seek asylum in the United States."

According to migrant lawyer John Shorman, some of Trump’s political decisions violate the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution, which states that “no one ... should lose his life, liberty, or property without due process of law.”

Shorman added that "the plaintiffs are seeking asylum, and Trump simply cannot prevent them from using armed forces or anyone else."

According to the channel, the lawsuit was also filed against US Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Minister for Homeland Security Kirsten Nielsen and a number of US departments.

Earlier, Trump said, under what condition the military will have the right to shoot at migrants on the border between the United States and Mexico.
