The president of the Court of Appeal Chambéry was slapped Wednesday morning in full hearing by the father of an accused, who had appeared at the bar instead of his daughter. The man, who had already attacked a magistrate in 2016 Albertville in Savoy, was placed in custody, said the prosecutor Chambéry. The magistrate concerned, Yves Le Bideau, who sat as a single judge, explained to the father that he could not appear at the hearing in the place of his daughter, absent from the room.

The judge insulted and struck. The man, about fifty years old, was then "abusive and insulting", according to the story made by the president of the court. While Yves Le Bideau repeatedly asked him out of the room, the man in response "copiously insulted" before rushing on him. "He gave me a shot that I did not see coming," said the magistrate. The father fled before being stopped by the security guards present at the entrance of the courthouse.

No police present. Wednesday morning, as always before the Court of Appeal Chambéry, there was no police hearing. The only ones present were the president of the court, the general advocate and the clerk. Last week in Chambéry, a lawyer had been assaulted in front of his office, with the electric impulse pistol, by an angry client, according to the president of the Chambéry Bar Association, Catherine Anxionnaz. The client was sentenced Monday in immediate appearance to one year of suspended imprisonment.
