Maduro indicated that behind the attack was the national security adviser to the President, John Bolton, and it was carried out from Houston and Chicago.

Earlier, the Venezuelan leader announced his intention to ask for help from a number of states, in particular from Russia and China, in investigating an attack on the republic’s power system.

On March 8, Elliot Abrams, US special envoy for Venezuela, said that the American side was not involved in turning off electricity in this Latin American country.
