Investigators from the Caen Research Section have targeted a large drug trafficking affecting Lisieux, as well as the Eure and Seine-Maritime. Three of the alleged headlines appeared in Lisieux on Monday, December 3, 2018.

A kilo and a half of heroin seized, cocaine and cannabis. € 28,000 confiscated cash, as well as four cars and a motorcycle. The Research Section of the gendarmerie of Caen struck a blow against a large drug trafficking Thursday, affecting Lisieux, the Eure and Seine-Maritime.

Thirteen people were arrested, with the assistance of GIGN Tours, gendarmes of the company of Lisieux and the squadron departmental road safety of Calvados. The GIR (regional intervention group, mixing gendarmerie, police, customs and tax) took care of the seized part.

Three men were returned in immediate appearance on Monday at the Lisieux Criminal Court. The first suspect, a 54-year-old man, was sentenced to three years in prison including one year suspended and the revocation of his previous one-year reprieve. The second, aged 30, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, one of which was suspended, with a warrant also, and a fine of € 15,000. The third defendant, 20, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, including one year suspended, and a fine of € 1,000.
