LDPR members at the US Embassy in Moscow hold a rally against arbitrariness in American prisons

According to law enforcement officials, about 50 people take part in the protest action.

Also at the building of the American diplomatic mission in the Russian capital is the leader of the party Vladimir Zhirinovsky and the candidate for Mayor of Moscow Mikhail Degtyarev.

"We protest against arbitrariness and violence in the prisons of America. Against arbitrariness and violence against citizens of the planet Earth, "Zhirinovsky said.

In July, it was reported that Russian Maria Butina was detained in the US for allegedly unregistered activity as an agent.

Later the Federal District Court of Washington decided to arrest her. Currently she is in the prison of the city of Alexandria.

Tatyana Moskalkova, the human rights ombudsman in Russia, told the Izvestia newspaper about her intention to appeal to the US Justice Department with a request to release Butina.
