Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is lobbying Arab leaders to rally their support for the US-drafted peace plan, dubbed the "Deal of the Century", the Middle East Monitor website reported, quoting Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth.

The website quoted Samdar Perry, the Middle East's top Middle East editor, as saying that the deal with the Horn of Africa was to what extent the Egyptian president was involved in the agreement.

Perry said in his article that it was initially believed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman mobilizes support for the deal, but Sisi "excellent friend" of US President Donald Trump recently found himself at the helm.

He also says his government sees Sisi as "a neighbor and a pro-Israel partner guarding the Sinai Peninsula, where thousands of Israelis are spending the Passover holiday."

Although Sisi does not know the exact details of the deal of the century, his role is clear: to attract the "moderate" side of the Arab world to support the Trump peace plan, according to the Middle East Monitor website, quoting Perry.

Among the role of the Egyptian president is the possibility of attracting Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, and possibly Qatar.

The article went on to claim that "Egypt will lead the Arab world to accept the so-called deal of the century" and will be asked to contribute its ideas to the plan before completing all the details. In return, you will receive a "huge" economic aid package from the US administration.

The Israeli journalist concludes that Netanyahu's "fingerprints" are clear throughout the peace plan.
