The Cabinet approved yesterday a decision to amend some of the provisions of the resolution on the recruitment of foreign workers to their families in the country.

The decree provided for the replacement of the former profession, and the adoption of the income requirement instead of bringing family members to foreign workers, in line with international developments and developments, and in accordance with best practices.

The decision also called on the concerned authorities in the country to work on a study to stimulate and provide a number of facilities in the basic services for foreign residents, including aspects of education and health and encourage the use of family members residing in the state, as an alternative to recruiting new workers from abroad according to policies and controls.
