"The United States, its allies and Russia found themselves in dangerous political paralysis, which could most likely lead, by mistake or miscalculation, to military confrontation and possibly to the use of nuclear weapons for the first time in almost 74 years," the text says.

The politicians believe that “a bold political shift is needed to support the strategic resumption of cooperation with Russia and get away from this dangerous situation.”

According to them, “otherwise, our countries may soon find themselves in a nuclear confrontation, more dangerous, disorienting and economically costly than the cold war.”
