As specified, in the framework of an interdepartmental working group with Rosstandart of the Russian Interior Ministry initiated the development of additional requirements of the interstate standard for bus safety.
"This refers to the mounting of the seats in the bus, the distance between the seats, the presence of three-point seat belts, body rigidity, and other innovative solutions," the department explained.
Earlier, the traffic police proposed to equip passenger buses with airbags, as well as to strengthen the frame and seat mounting.
