The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced today its refusal to receive the third installment of the Qatari grant to the Gaza Strip in response to the conduct of the occupation and its failure to abide by the understandings of calm sponsored by the United Nations, Egypt and Qatar. The Palestinian factions welcomed the decision of the movement and described the right decision.

A member of the Political Bureau of Hamas Khalil al-Hayya told a press conference in Gaza the Israeli occupation responsibility for retreat and slow implementation of the understandings of the truce, stressing at the same time that Gaza "will not be offered to blackmail the political for the Israeli elections."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to stop the transfer of $ 15 million in the $ 15 million grant to Gaza, due to be transferred on Wednesday, following tension on the border with the Gaza Strip. Tel Aviv then returned and agreed to include the Qatari grant after the meeting of the Israeli cabinet Security and political evening yesterday.

The refusal of Hamas to control the occupation in the Qatari grant is a double message to Netanyahu and Abbas that the policy of exchanging roles in the strangulation of Gaza and blackmail and bidding on it will not succeed and it is able to surprise everyone

Continue the marches
"The Islamic Movement leadership met with the Qatari ambassador Mohammed Al-Emadi. We talked about the return marches and the conditions of the Palestinian people. We confirmed that these marches continue until the rights of the Palestinian people are restored and their goals are realized," Hayya said.

"In this regard, we discussed the attempt by the occupation to bring the Palestinian people and our Palestinian resistance into the Israeli elections. We talked about the blackmail of the occupation of the Palestinian people and the attempt to blackmail some Arab countries and embarrass our brothers in Qatar," he added.

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Gaza Hisham Zukout said that one of the reasons for Hamas's refusal to grant the Qatari grant was to impose new conditions to allow money to be paid to employees hired by successive Hamas governments ($ 10 million) and humanitarian aid ($ 5 million).

Many conditions
Among these conditions is the transfer of funds through banks, which is rejected by the Palestinian Authority, and it is also necessary to hand over to Israel a list of humanitarian cases benefiting from the grant to determine the conduct of him and those deprived of them.

Palestinian factions welcomed the decision of Hamas, said a member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Maher Mezher told the Anatolia that the movement's decision is a step in the right direction because it "refused to exchange political and national Palestinian issues at any political price."

The spokesman of the Islamic Jihad movement Musab al-Barim praised the Hamas move and said: "We reject the submission of the Palestinian people to any means of extortion taken by the occupation."

A member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Front Talal Abu Zarifa that "the reluctance of the occupation to abide by his promises under the truce agreement to ease the siege and control the standards of disbursement of funds is no longer acceptable to all Palestinian parties."

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Jerusalem Elias Karam said that Netanyahu's political opponents accused him of funding Hamas, which Israel calls terrorist, and therefore the Israeli prime minister tried yesterday to blame the transfer of Qatari funds to Gaza on Israeli security services.

Al-Jazeera correspondent added that Netanyahu sought to blackmail Hamas politically with the Qatari grant by setting conditions, including that the movement prevent Palestinian access to security tourists and stop the return marches. Tel Aviv also demanded the start of handing over the Qatari grant funds on Friday afternoon to distract Palestinians from the return marches.
