“All documents required for registration of D.Espayeva as a candidate for the upcoming presidential election are provided to the CEC and fully comply with the requirements,” said CEC member Zauresh Baymoldina.

It is noted that Espayeva became the first woman in Kazakhstan to receive registration by the CEC as a candidate for the post of head of state.

The extraordinary election of the Kazakh president is scheduled for June 9.

The former leader of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, became the first officially registered candidate for the presidential election.
