Sablé's football fans had a great day on Wednesday, November 14, with the arrival of 23 players from the SCO professional team in Angers. In the morning, the players took advantage of the ground of the stadium Rémy-Lambert to do their training session in public, in front of a few dozens of curious. "It's very interesting to see how the pros train , " says Lilian, 10, admiring. The young Sablé FC player came specially with his mom, Aurélie. "I did not have much choice, he absolutely wanted to be there," she smiled.

Meet the employees

The session, which lasted about 1 hour 30 minutes, went off without a hitch. "The terrain was perfect and the weather beautiful. Everything was together to make a good session, "said Stéphane Moulin, coach of the club, currently 13th in Ligue 1. Even if four players, summoned with their national selections, are missing.

After this session, the players went to the DPE factory in Sablé. A way to meet the employees of LDC group, second sponsor of the club and the initiative of this day. "Our employees were pleased because many support the SCO, which is the closest team in the elite," said Dylan Chevalier, communications manager for the agribusiness giant. This is one of the reasons that led the company to become a partner of the SCO in July 2017. "We share the same values ​​of humility, work, dedication and performance. That's why we support this club, " commented Caroline Bruon, marketing manager for the Le Gaulois brand.

This visit, which rewards "the work of the employees" , also seduced the players, Romain Thomas in the lead. "It reminds me of the factory where I worked when I was younger. It was very interesting to be able to interact with the employees. All before enjoying a meal with chicken fillets Le Gaulois on the menu. "There were also nuggets but our physical trainer forbade it," smiles the club's central defender. But the players still had the right to enjoy shortbread, before returning to the Stade Rémy-Lambert for a book signing.

Dedications

And the crowd had answered present. Like Sebastien, a fervent supporter of the club that made the trip from Daumeray. "I came to have the shirt signed by my son, who could not be here today," he explains, between two photos with the players and coach Stéphane Moulin, who took to the game of selfies .

All members of Sablé FC were able to take advantage of this moment to approach their idols. Six-year-old Nolan has been at the club for two years. If he does not want to become a football player when he grows up, he appreciates this contact. "The players are very nice. It's better than seeing them on TV, " he responds.

And for the players, this session is also unpublished. "We are not used to meeting together for such a session. It's much more fun for us and the public, " says Pierrick Capelle. The Sabolian public appreciated. Especially since the players could come back next year. "We are thinking about renewing this type of operation every season," explains Dylan Chevalier.
