The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar Gargash, welcomed the statement of His Holiness Pope Francis Pope of the Catholic Church, who urges peace in Yemen.
Gargash, in Twitter on Twitter, stressed yesterday the need to implement the Stockholm agreement to make 2019 the year of peace in Yemen.
The Pope of the Catholic Church urged "to work urgently to promote respect for existing agreements" in favor of a truce in the city of Hodeidah in western Yemen, is necessary for the delivery of humanitarian aid.
An hour before his historic trip to the UAE, Pope Francis said, "I appeal to all parties concerned and the international community to work urgently to promote respect for existing agreements and to ensure the distribution of food and work for the benefit of the people."
