"There are only people coming from the roundabouts". "I created a democratic device allowing the French citizens to accede to the responsibilities, without being trapped by the Caudine Forks of a political party". It is with these words that Francis Lalanne presents his political initiative last December. His "Yellow Citizen Vest gathering" hopes to assert the claims of "yellow vests" on the European level. At the microphone of Europe 1, the singer is very happy because the list is soon finalized. "There are only people coming from the roundabouts who want to continue to fight in institutions, it is a step that goes against violence", explains he, while stressing that he is not top of the list and appears in 79th place "to organize and animate".

The "yellow vests", " not a movement of barbarians and thugs". Early on, Francis Lalanne showed his support for the movement of "yellow vests". During the presentation of the list last December, he announced: "the challenge of the European elections is that France becomes yellow". Asked whether this political support did not go against his desire to integrate the reserve of the National Gendarmerie, as he had confided on Europe 1, the artist ensures that no. "We must not get the 'yellow vests' for a movement of barbarians and thugs," says Francis Lalanne. "The gendarmes and the police are people who defend a fundamental human right, that of security, they have all my respect," he concludes.
