Al-Jazeera correspondent in Gaza said that the Israeli army launched a series of air raids and artillery on Saturday in different areas of the Gaza Strip, where the number of martyrs who fell by Israeli fire to six since yesterday. While the resistance responded with rocket-propelled grenades reached to about ninety, according to a statement by the army of occupation.

Al-Jazeera correspondent Wael Al-Dahdouh said that the Israeli occupation authorities informed the Gaza Ministry of Agriculture of the closure of the sea and called on the fishermen's union in Gaza to withdraw the nets from the sea urgently, indicating a new Israeli escalation against the Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera correspondent said that a Palestinian was martyred today in one of the Israeli raids, and wounded three others, bringing the number of martyrs who have fallen in the Israeli shelling of the Gaza Strip since Friday to five.

According to a spokesman for the occupation forces that more than 30 targets were targeted by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Islamic Jihad in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

The spokesman added that among the targeted targets are several Hamas military compounds inside Gaza City, both in Shajaiya and Tal al-Hawa neighborhoods, allegedly for use in the production of weapons. One of the compounds is used by the Hamas naval force, as well as a joint military compound for Hamas and Islamic Jihad Lahia.

The targets of Islamic Jihad were also raided, including a number of military compounds in the neighborhoods of Deir al-Balah, Tal al-Sultan, al-Shati and Khan Younis, two rocket launchers and a number of observation posts along the border.

Anatolia news agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the artillery shelled a number of 19 mortar shells belonging to Palestinian factions in different areas along the eastern border of the Gaza Strip.

In a separate incident, Israeli occupation forces opened fire at Palestinian farmers and herders who were doing their work east of the town of Jahr al-Dik (central Gaza Strip), according to eyewitnesses.

Response of resistance
For its part, the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip launched a number of rocket bursts towards the Israeli settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip.

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported the injury of Israelis in the shelling of the Palestinian resistance against Ashkelon and the settlement of Kiryat Gat.

The Israeli occupation authorities closed a number of areas adjacent to the border and the beach of Zikim, and demanded that the Israelis take the utmost care and caution.

For its part, said Hamas on Saturday, according to its spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanua, that the response of the resistance carries a message to the enemy that it is present and will not allow him to unify the people of our people.

And the people of Gaza Strip field commanders in the Qassam Brigades: Abdullah Abu al-Muluh and Ala al-Bubli, who were martyred yesterday in an Israeli bombardment east of the Maghazi camp.

In the meantime, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding consultations with leaders of the security services to discuss the deterioration of the situation in southern Israel.
