Eight months after their previous meeting in Milan, Interior Minister Matteo Salvini travels to Budapest at the invitation of the ultraconservative Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, within three weeks of the European elections.

Officially, Matteo Salvini, the head of the League, goes to Budapest at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart, a banal head to head between ministers of the Interior. The leader of the Italian far right will have an interview with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a joint press conference.

However, we are very far, at least on paper, from their common exit in Italy. Viktor Orban was not content with a photo-shock in the form of challenge. He had also this formula: " Salvini is my hero ". A profile a little lower expected today.

In the meantime, Europeans have raised their voices. A procedure for the violation of the rule of law against Hungary, the party of Prime Minister Fidesz, has been suspended from the group of the European right in the European Parliament.

This does not prevent speculation and questioning. The Hungarian prime minister could slam the door of the European right and strengthen the camp of the nationalists. The words of provocateur Viktor Orbán will therefore be scrutinized.

For Akos Bence Gat, Fidesz's candidate for the Europeans, the two men are mutually appreciative, and the question of the alliance to be formed will arise following the result of the European elections.

The challenge is immigration because Mr Salvini says that it is possible to stop illegal immigration in a country with maritime borders. Mr. Orban says it's something very good.
