Erdogan announced the victory of his party in the municipal elections in Turkey

President Erdogan: About 56 percent of all municipal bodies in Turkey will be headed by representatives of the Justice and Development Party.

According to Erdogan, following the results of the elections, candidates from the political bloc “Union of the People”, which includes the ruling AKP, won in 778 municipalities, including 16 mayors of large cities.

On March 31, local elections were held in Turkey.

As noted, this is the first local elections in the country after the 2017 constitutional referendum.
