She believes that this decision will be justified against the background of the EU’s non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea to Russia, as well as the alleged involvement of Moscow in the campaign of disinformation and cyber attacks against European countries.

Earlier it was reported that Kalniete submitted to the EP a draft resolution, involving partnership with Russia only in mutually beneficial areas and in those that guarantee EU security.
