The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has announced that it is preparing health insurance packages for hazardous professionals that will provide them with benefits and treatment services commensurate with the risks they face in their field of work.
Dr. Yunus Kazim, Executive Director of Dubai Health Care Corporation, told Emirates Al Youm that many employees and employees of private sector companies are working in a hazardous work environment that makes them more vulnerable to diseases or injuries than others in other professions, So they need extended insurance packages.
He mentioned that one of the most dangerous occupations that require special insurance packages is the chemical factories, whose owners suffer from lung complications due to inhalation of chemical air for long periods. They need special tests and medicines, as well as hospital radiology workers.
