Dr. Fadi Zuhair Murad, Chief Executive Officer of Medical Unit Group, said that the application of biomechanics in orthodontics helps to develop the skills of the orthodontist, treat difficult conditions and improve the treatment provided to the patient.

Dr. Murad said in an interview with Al Jazeera Net on Thursday, during the first day of the first conference of biomechanics in orthodontics, which started in Doha, Qatar, and continues until Saturday, organized by the Medical Unit Group.

"We are honored to have this conference coinciding with the announcement of the opening of the College of Dentistry in Qatar, which will be a renaissance and revolution in the dental sector in Qatar, and will provide the country with doctors able to promote the medical sector in Qatar."

He explained that the science of biomechanics is a science related to physics and mathematical equations, a specialty needs to focus and development, which helps in the treatment of difficult assessments.

He pointed out that the number of participants in the conference reached 160 participants, including 90 of the world. And participants from 50 countries, such as Asia, Europe and South America.

He said that the development of doctors in the field of biomechanics helps patients, information in the conference may provide in the application in treatment on the patient treatment months, and also reduce complications, and reduce some costs, and also helps the conference to invest the doctor's skill to serve the patient, pointing out that the conference includes a medical exhibition includes International companies in Orthodontics.

He explained that the medical unit started more than 20 years ago, which includes six branches, and offers all the treatments of all human medicine, skin treatments, in addition to gynecology, children and family medicine.

Orthodontic means the treatment associated with dental alignment in the jaws, and the growth of the jaws, which helps to improve the overall appearance of the face and solve the problems of dental alignment. The orthodontist moves the teeth gradually to bring them back to the normal position they must be.

Biomechanics, which is the subject of the conference, is a science that studies the effects of mechanical forces on living tissues. In the case of orthodontics, the influence of mechanical forces is examined on the tissues of the jaw, gums and teeth.
