Dodon noted the high dynamics of relations between Moldova and Russia

He said that he had a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Moldova, Oleg Vasnetsov.

"We discussed the results of the outgoing year in bilateral relations, stressed their high dynamics and good prospects for further deepening, primarily in trade and the economy," he wrote on Facebook.

According to the president, the parties discussed the upcoming December 20–21 visit to Moldova of State Duma deputies led by Vice Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy.

"It is planned that representatives of all factions of the State Duma will also visit the regions of Moldova, including the Gagauz autonomy," said Dodon.

Earlier, Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip expressed the hope that Chisinau and Moscow will be able to establish a constructive dialogue.
