Footballers all over the world are already preparing ... From June 7th to July 7th, 24 women's teams will play in the finals of the 2019 World Cup. Special feature: this year, the big competition will take place in France! Saturday, qualifying matches ended. Here is the list of the 24 nations that will participate in the tournament!
In Europe: nine countries
Host country + eight winners of the World Cup qualifiers.
France is automatically qualified because it hosts the competition.
Germany won the Cup twice, in 2003 and 2007.
Norway won the Cup once, in 1995.
Spain is qualified for the 2nd time (the first time in 2015).
Italy has never passed the quarter-finals in the World Cup.
England finished in 3rd place in 2015.
Scotland: Scots participate in World Cup for the first time!
Sweden finished 2nd, in 2003.
The Netherlands: the Dutch are the European champions 2017!
In Asia: five places
Winner, finalist, 3rd, 4th and 5th of the 2018 Asian Nations Cup.
Japan: The Japanese women were world champions in 2011! And vice-champions in 2015.
Australia: Australian women have reached 3 times the quarter-finals. Will they do better this year?
China: Chinese ChineseMa Li scored the very first goal in the Women's Football World Cup in the opening match of the 1991 edition against Norway!
South Korea is qualified for the third time.
Thailand: "The war elephants" hope to lead their country as far as possible.
