The Ministry of Education will launch tomorrow, the 2019 Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Series, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), with the participation of more than 1,500 students from various state schools competing to represent the UAE in three international competitions in the United States and Australia. The series of artificial intelligence and robot competitions is an unprecedented achievement for the ministry. It is the first time in the world that a single competition includes the three categories of robotics, programming and technology under one umbrella.

More than 3,000 students participated in the competition, which was open in all its courses in the United Arab Emirates, where 1,500 students qualified for the final stage which will be held on 27 and 28 January 2019.

The series of artificial intelligence and robot competitions consists of 20 competitions including the Robot Fix (VEX), the VIQ Challenge, the Children's Robot Contest known as the First LEGO Junior, the TYNKER National Programming Contest, the National Web Design Contest , The National Programming Contest in Python, the C ++ National Programming Contest, the National Mainkraft Competition, the Steam Competition for Robot Innovation, the 3D Steam Competition, the Steam Advanced Projects Competition, and the Steam Competition for Projects For beginners, the «Steam» competition for projects for children L, the Simulator Rescue, the Rescue Line, the Lightweight Robot Football League, the Open League for Robot Football, and the Primary League for Robot Shows and Future Engineers from the Emirates International Aluminum. "The Ministry has launched a number of initiatives to build and develop the capabilities and skills of our youth to compete in 21st century technologies," said Jamila Bint Salem Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education. The competition enables students to develop their technical skills at an early age. They have a passion for creativity and innovation, and we believe that it is not enough for our students to recognize the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, but also to become experts. " Assistant Undersecretary for Welfare and Activities at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Amna Al-Dahhak Al Shamsi, said that the ministry's initiatives are focused on engaging students and encouraging them to pursue studies in fields related to science, technology, innovation, engineering and mathematics.
