The French Blood Establishment and the Voluntary Blood Donation Association of Cholet organized a collection all morning Saturday, November 24th.

Could donors not have made the trip for fear of being blocked by a demonstration of yellow vests? Saturday, November 24, between 8:15 and 12:15, 238 men and women, including 22 new, gave their blood, in the exhibition hall of City Hall.

"Last year, at the same time, there were fifty more. This remains a good collection, "said Jean-Noel Courrier, president of the Association for voluntary blood donation Cholet (Maine-et-Loire).

A collection of blood outside the French Blood Establishment, based in Angers (Maine-et-Loire) requires a whole organization and logistics. Saturday, seven doctors, eight nurses, two reinforcements, two secretaries and two drivers, having brought and arranged the necessary equipment, were on site.

Twenty volunteers from the Cholet association were responsible for the snack. The next blood drive at City Hall will take place on Saturday, January 26th.
