The trial court of Dixinn delivered Monday, February 4 a series of convictions in the case of the assassination of the former director of the National Treasury, Aïssatou Boiro, killed in 2012 in his vehicle. Penalties ranging from 10 years imprisonment to life imprisonment. A highly anticipated verdict in Guinea.

Of the twenty people tried, only one was acquitted. This is Colonel Amadou Bangoura. The others are sentenced to at least 10 years in prison. And of the 6 sentenced to the maximum sentence, 4 were found guilty of the assassination of the former director of the Treasury.

A verdict saluted by the lawyer of the civil parties: " It is a strong signal which has just been given. Finally, the Boiro family can wipe their tears. Finally, the family can mourn. Now, the big criminals must know that justice is there to crack down. And that is zero tolerance in the fight against crime, "said Me Lanciné Sylla.

If the main suspect in this case - Mohamed Diallo, called "Junior", gets the maximum penalty. He was not found guilty of the assassination of Aissatou Boiroi, but of "stolen vehicles from armed robbery", an act "committed with violence resulting in death". His lawyer, Jean Baptiste Jocamey, has already said he will appeal the judgment. "I am clearly driven by a sense of injustice and besides, in relation to my client, I am - in addition to this feeling of unfairness - driven by a sense of frustration given the relentlessness that there has been against him. We did everything to make it central to this case. No evidence was brought by the prosecutor to say that he was linked from far or near to that, "said Jean Baptiste Jocamey.

The murder of Aïssatou Boiro dates back to November 2012. She was one of the most important personalities in the fight against embezzlement within the state services.
