Weakened since 2013 by the after-effects of a stroke, President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has been confronted for more than a month with an unprecedented challenge since his arrival at the head of state in 1999. The solution allowing " a way out of crisis ( ...) is found in Article 102 of the Constitution, General Ahmed Gaïd Salah said in a speech broadcast on national television.
