Al Jazeera Net has been awarded the best e-journalism award for traditional industries in Tunisia thanks to the report of colleague Mohamed Ali Latifi, "Antiques of the Allies, Innovations Made by Tunisian Rural Women".

The award coincides with the celebration of World Press Day, as part of an award announced by the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with the National Bureau of Handicrafts, to select the best press work for 2018.

The director of the Institute of Journalism and Information Sciences Hamida Al-Bawar, Al-Jazeera Net, said that the site was crowned with the best and most deserving press work, stressing the professionalism of the report chosen in terms of planning and highlighting the themes.

For his part, the Director General of the National Office of Traditional Industries Fawzi Bin Halima stressed the role of Arab and international media in the definition of tourism and in the definition of craftsmanship in Tunisia.

He pointed out that these symbolic awards to encourage journalists on World Press Day are in support of their efforts to enlighten public opinion and to introduce cultural heritage in Tunisia.
