The Jordanian film star of nomadic origins, Hasan Mutlaq, seeks to use his acting skills to promote and educate his society.

After his role in the 2016 Oscar-nominated "Deeb", Hassan conducts guided tours with the young generation in his region to raise awareness about cinema and has urged many of them to become filmmakers.

The film "Deeb" by Naji Abu Nawar is the first Jordanian film to reach the final stages of the Oscar nomination in the category of "best foreign film."

The film tells the story of the brothers Hussein and Thib, who live in Bedouin life during the First World War in 1916, when a British officer asks them to guide him through the desert to something of strategic importance, the Hijaz Railway route. The film revolves around their dangerous journey and leads them towards unexpected.
