A new Pharaonic cemetery, dating back more than 4,000 years, has been discovered in Cairo's Saqqara area.

Egyptian Archaeologist Khaled Al-Anani announced that archaeologists have found a cemetery in good condition and its walls are decorated with colorful carvings depicting the tomb owner, his mother and his family.

The cemetery consists of a rectangular hall of about 10 meters in length and about 3 meters wide and a height of 3 meters (site of the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities)

The tomb belongs to the family of the fifth family in the Saqqara cemetery. In addition to the inscriptions and statues, there are three lines of hieroglyphic writing that refer to the names and titles of the author of "Taha", nicknamed "the priest of royal cleansing" And "Inspector of the Temple of King Nefer Air Ka Ra".

On the walls of the cemetery were many colored inscriptions bearing the name of the wife of the owner of the cemetery (and the tomb of Pettah), and many of the scenes depicting the owner of the cemetery with his mother (Meryt Men) and his family of his wife and children, and the scenes of the concert, pottery, and scenes of offering sacrifices, Sailing, making funerary furniture, hunting birds, and making statues, as well as texts from the cemetery's autobiography.

The Archaeological Mission was able to reach the façade of the cemetery during archaeological excavations in November during the second season of the mission.
