The new Mitsubishi utility will be produced by Renault at its Sandouville plant in Seine-Maritime.

As part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, the new Mitsubishi utility will be produced in Normandy, by the Sandouville Renault plant, near Le Havre, in Seine-Maritime.

This announcement is part of the Renault group's investment drive in Normandy, with a 2018 year rich in new projects: Renault Alpine, in Dieppe, delivered its first vehicle in March 2018 and continues to ramp up. Renault Cléon announced in June 2018 the allocation of a new generation of electric motors for the Alliance and the tripling of its existing capacities.

The Mitsubishi van will be assembled on the Renault Trafic platform, also available in Fiat and Nissan. Production could start in 2020.

This year in France, Renault will have invested nearly 1.4 billion euros to support two areas of growth: electric and commercial vehicles.

For Fabienne Buccio, prefect of the Normandy and Seine-Maritime region, "the production of a new model in Sandouville is very good news for the Normandy economy and a real recognition of its know-how. I am delighted to see Renault continue its investments in our region, showing the renewal of French industry. "
