Three citizens and an Asian, aged between 10 and 18, died. Three other citizens, aged between 13 and 20, were injured by a traffic accident yesterday, due to excessive speed and the explosion of a tire. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Ras Al Khaimah Emirate, according to the head of the Department of Investigation and Traffic Control at Ras Al Khaimah Police, Colonel Mohammed Al-Bahhar.
Al-Bahar said that the operations room received a report in the incident at 7:00 pm, adding that patrol cars and ambulances went to the scene. The dead and wounded were taken to Khalifa Specialist Hospital, while two wounded were taken to Saqr government hospital in Ras Al Khaimah.
The sailors handed over the bodies of the dead to their relatives, and referred the case to the competent authorities to complete the legal proceedings.
For his part, the Director General of Central Operations Ras Al Khaimah Police, Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Humaidi, drivers to exercise caution. And urged them to abide by the traffic rules, for the sake of their lives, and the safety of other road users.
