German nutritionist Harald Zaites said some signs of iodine deficiency in the body are:

  • Swollen eyelids.
  • Fatigue.
  • Very cold feeling.
  • Weak focus.
  • Low effort.
  • Mood disorder.
  • Unjustified weight gain.
  • pallor.
  • Dry skin.
  • Hair loss.
  • Blow nails.

Initially, these problems can be addressed by eating iodine-rich foods such as dairy products and seafood, with the use of iodized salt.

If the condition does not improve, then consult your doctor because these symptoms may then indicate the incidence of thyroid problems.

Indications supporting suspected thyroid problems include difficulty breathing or swallowing, feeling a lump in the throat, and obvious swelling of the anterior larynx.
