Rescuers found the bodies of two more victims of the gas explosion in a residential building in the city of Shakhty on January 14. This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Rostov Region Vyacheslav Butko Thus, the number of victims of the tragedy increased to four.

“We are in the search and rescue phase, currently the bodies of two more dead people are found, they lived in apartment 68 - a man and a woman. Currently, the fate of one more person remains unknown, ”he said.

Compensation will affect the victims - they are going to pay from 200 to 400 thousand rubles. The families of the victims will be paid 1 million rubles. Another 10 thousand rubles will be paid to victims on Wednesday January 16th.

Even during the rescue work, the threat of further collapse of the house persisted, and therefore emergency personnel had to disassemble somewhere, and somewhere to reinforce structures. And the work did not stop even for the night.

The tasks for today are to continue the search, determine the fate of three more people, ”Butko said after finding the body of the second dead man on the morning of January 15.

To inspect the building's structure for its sustainability, rescuers brought the Strela-P complex. Based on the analysis, it was decided that the damaged house should be restored. One of the entrances of the building was connected to the heating in the evening on January 15.
