In coordination with its regional administrations and in cooperation with the Department of Security Information, it launched its campaign «Ramadan Safe», as part of its ongoing campaign «Salama Dark», as part of the main awareness plan launched earlier this year, to spread the culture of prevention and safety among the community during the holy month .

In addition, the requirements stipulated by the General Command for the establishment of the Ramadan tents included the use of tents for storage, the use of ovens and cooking stoves inside, and the installation of the air treatment unit outside the tent, if there is an internal air conditioning. Not less than 50 cm, in addition to the provision of automatic electric breaker, taking into account the distribution of electrical loads on the automatic cutters.

Electrical wiring must also be inside protective pipes. And to provide each air conditioning unit inside the tent with its own cutter, and to treat interior decorations and fabrics with materials that slow the spread of flame. The fabrics and materials manufactured by the tents shall be flame-resistant and shall meet the specifications adopted in addition to providing a sufficient number of manual fire extinguishers, One or more of the body responsible for installation of the tents, to follow up the emergency, provided that he is familiar with the use of fire extinguishers and emergency procedures. And have direct contact with civil defense in emergencies or the need for any consultation.

The conditions shall include the number of emergency exits and their expansion and height according to the requirements of safety and protection, in proportion to the size of the tent and the number of occupants, location and materials made thereof, or located within. The distance between any tent and another, or between the nearest wall, should not be less than four meters, provided that the distance is free of wedges, ropes and other obstacles. Tracks should be left in the rows of chairs and tables, allowing the occupants of the tents to leave quickly and easily in emergencies. Emergency exits are written on emergency outlets in both Arabic and English, and in phosphorescent light.

In each tent, a sufficient number of suitable fire extinguishers are required, in the required sizes for each tent, for rapid intervention in the event of a fire, and for the tents to be solid and sturdy, not to be destroyed by heat or wind. From the various sources of danger, including environmental and health hazards, and to be away from the storage areas of inflammable or inflammable materials, and transformers and meters of electricity or fire extinguishers, and the ways of traffic at least five meters.

The General Commander of the Civil Defense, Major General Jassem Mohammed Al Marzouqi, directed civil defense departments to raise their readiness to receive the holy month of Ramadan and to provide the highest standards and safety standards for the community members.

He stressed that «the elements of civil defense in a state of readiness to meet any emergency in times of events and activities that require additional security and safety measures, such as the month of Ramadan, which is witnessing many community events».

Al-Marzouqi said that the General Directorate of Civil Defense prepared an operational plan during the holy month, in coordination with its regional administrations, including launching a "Safe Ramadan" campaign to include inspection tours on Ramadan tents. The campaign also includes raising the awareness of female housewives about the protective conditions that they must follow during the preparation of breakfast meals, in order to preserve their safety, and prevent fires, and training them through specialized civil defense instructors to use fire extinguishers in kitchen kitchens.
