The United States ambassador to the United Nations, Nicky Healey, who has the rank of secretary of the US government, resigned to President Donald Trump, US media reported today.

"President Trump and Ambassador Nicky Healy will meet in the Oval Office," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said. Trump wrote in a tweet that he had an "important announcement" about Healy.

Hurley's sudden resignation came after she was recently attacked after the Washington Post revealed that she was wasting government spending on buying curtains for her New York residence.
