Patrick Roussel was Johnny Hallyday's driver from 1999 to 2016. Five years after the death of the rocker, he has finally decided to break the silence by telling without concession his daily life alongside the Taulier in his book "Everyone called him Johnny", which will be released on June 15. According to Patrick Roussel, Laeticia Hallyday, Johnny's wife, took him away from his children David and Laura.

Has Laeticia Hallyday cleaned up Johnny's entourage? The widow of the Taulier, already accused by some relatives of having distanced the rocker from his relatives, is now the target of Johnny's driver. In his book Tout le monde l'appelait Johnny, which will be released on June 15, Patrick Roussel, who worked for the star from 1999 to 2016, tells without concession what he observed while rubbing shoulders with him.

"Laeticia reinforced the split with David and Laura"

According to him, Laeticia Hallyday made sure that Johnny only frequented friends of hers, and friends they had in common. "Little by little she took everything in hand and Johnny dropped the case," he says in the columns of Télé-Star, on the occasion of the upcoming release of his book. Laeticia Hallyday would also have cleaned up Johnny's family circle by distancing him from David and Laura, his two children born from two previous unions (editor's note: Sylvie Vartan, then Nathalie Baye).

Laura Smet was close to Patrick Roussel

"He didn't see much of David and Laura already, but Laeticia reinforced the split. David was lucky to be raised by his father-in-law (editor's note: Tony Scotti) but Laura was very fragile, "says Patrick Roussel, who reveals having forged links with the young Laura Smet who saw in him "a means of communication with his father". "I was telling him about his father and it allowed him to get into his life a little bit. Laeticia was not aware. Their relationship was very complicated and still is," he reveals.

Laeticia Hallyday has already said that David and Laura would "always have a place in his heart". A statement that outrages Patrick Roussel: "While she did everything to exclude them? Johnny had to hide to see his daughter, he would sneak in to help her when she was in trouble." Johnny's driver, very Laeticia, does not consider her the only culprit: Johnny has, according to him, not done what is necessary "to keep a relationship with his first children".
