"Shangduo" means "a place where tens of thousands of people gather" in Tibetan. For thousands of years, the Tongtian River has nourished the people living here and created a profound and unique historical and cultural heritage.

According to reports, it is said that many counties are located in the lower reaches of the Tongtian River, and the rock paintings in the territory are mostly simple depictions as a way of expression, using simple geometric shapes or lines to express the outline of animals, and at the same time, various symbols such as swastikas, six-pointed stars, cartouches, chessboards, towers, etc. began to appear, rich in content, indicating that the cultural integration that occurred in this area at that time was more complicated, and ethnic migrations may also be more frequent. These rich and varied rock paintings are an important basis for studying the ancient human activities in the hinterland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and are also the cultural memory of ancient humans written on the land of Jiangyuan.

At the same time, through these petroglyphs, we can also glimpse the evolution of the earth's environment and ecological species. Rinchen Nyima, chairman of the Chengduo County Federation of Literature and Literature, said that Qinghai is a major province of rock art in China, and the history books carved in stone are the cultural memory of mankind on the ancient plateau.
In recent years, the multi-county literary federation has collected nearly 3,000 petroglyphs in five townships in the county through special personnel and joint groups, and they are still being found. According to expert statistics, the number of rock art in multiple counties has leapt to the top in Qinghai, becoming a veritable rock art county in Qinghai Province.

Coming to Labu Township, Shangduo County, you will see ancient Tibetan villages made of stone blocks. The antique Tibetan-style architecture has witnessed the lives of generations of residents and has now become one of Yushu's unique tourist hotspots. Walking in the ancient village alley, it seems that you can also see the life and production scenes of the ancestors hundreds of years ago, and have a dialogue with history through a hundred years.
In 2022, the cultural tourism town of Qinghai Ancient Tibetan Village, located in Lastone Village, Labu Township, officially entered the construction stage. Qinghai Guzang Village Cultural Tourism Town features "cultural experience, natural ecology, health and wellness vacation, meditation and study, and food taste", and the plan will be completed in 2023.
