Shogi player Sota Fujii (20) won the NHK Cup TV Shogi Tournament for the first time and won all four official matches called "General Shogi Matches" held this year.

The NHK Cup TV Shogi Tournament is a tournament format where 50 top shogi players compete.

Unlike the eight major title matches, the rule is that each match must be 10 minutes fast.

Gokaku Fujii, who appeared in the second round, advanced to the final broadcast on the 2th and faced Yuki Sasaki Hachidan (19).

Fujii Gokaku attacked aggressively, and Sasaki Hachidan threw in 28 moves to win the NHK Cup for the first time.

As a result, this year, Gokaku Fujii won all four official matches other than the title matches: the Shogi Japan Series, the Galaxy Match, the Asahi Cup Shogi Open Match, and the NHK Cup.

According to the Japan Shogi Federation, Fujii Five Crowns is the first to win all "general shogi matches" throughout the year, except for the rookie championship match.

Gokaku Fujii said, "I am happy that I was able to win four general shogi tournaments this year. I will do my best to be able to play as many matches as possible in the tournament next year."
