Nagisa Fujimoto, the youngest active professional shogi player at 18 years old, was promoted to 5th dan in the first round. Fujimoto 4-dan is from Takamatsu City and became a professional player after winning the 3-dan league in October 2022.
So far this year, he has 47 wins and 9 losses, a win rate of 80%, 3:9, and is in second place among all Shogi players after Hakkan Fujii. Depending on the results of future games, there is a possibility that he will overtake Hak Kan Fujii and become the number one.
