In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has set up a special fund for the economic effect of making it mandatory to install solar panels on newly built houses. I clarified the trial calculation that it will be.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will implement an ordinance that will make it mandatory to install solar panels on new houses in Tokyo, the first of its kind in Japan, from the year after next in order to achieve the "carbon half" goal of halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. It's a schedule.

Until the implementation, the metropolitan government has submitted a budget proposal to the regular Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly this time, which includes the establishment of a fund of 150 billion yen to support the installation cost of panels in newly built houses.

Regarding this, a representative of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly asked a question on the 21st, and Governor Koike revealed that the economic effect of establishing the fund would be more than 200 billion yen.

Governor Koike said, "We will accelerate the solar power generation movement together with Tokyo residents and businesses."
