Prince Harry gave an interview to Anderson Cooper for the American program

60 Minutes

to promote his autobiography,

Spare

, which comes out on January 10.

A first teaser has been released and it is of course about his relationship with his father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William.

Asked about his possible return as a full-time member of the royal family, his answer is without appeal.

"No," retorted Prince Harry.

If we will have to wait for the broadcast of the program this Sunday to hear him develop his reasons, the extract shows another passage in which he explains why he spoke publicly about his departure from the royal family in January 2020.

“Every time I tried to do it privately there were briefings, leaks and stories against me and my wife (in the press).

You know, the family motto is 'never complain, never explain'… It's just a motto and it doesn't really hold up…” he states.

The impossible reconciliation

Well versed in the marketing exercise, Prince Harry also gave an interview on the other side of the Atlantic, to the British channel ITV.

In the teaser, he talks about his desire to reconcile with his father, King Charles III, and his brother, Prince William.

“It should never have happened like this.

I would like to get my father back.

I would like my brother to come back,” admits Prince Harry, adding that, unfortunately, the latter “have shown no desire to reconcile”.

Perhaps they are still somewhat scalded by the remarks that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made in 2021 to Oprah Winfrey during an interview lasting just under two hours?

Unless it's the documentary

Harry & Meghan

, broadcast on Netflix in December, in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex explain, during six episodes of 52 minutes each, how much they were mistreated by the King of England and the Prince of Wales… Maybe…
