The holiday season has ironically not been the best time to eat oysters this year.

A second massive recall procedure was launched on Monday throughout France concerning these seafood, reports

L'Indépendant

.

The new recall concerns different types of oysters, mostly Bouzigues oysters, contaminated with listeria and norovirus, according to the Rappel Conso site.

The contaminated molluscs were marketed, between mid-December and the end of December, in Carrefour, Intermarché, Leclerc and Super U supermarkets.

Reimbursement possible in store

The contaminated oysters, already withdrawn from sale, were sold under the brands La Belle Occitane de Bouzigues, Gaec Mistral and the U brand. Oysters, mussels and clams sold on December 15 in many supermarkets, in bulk or in baskets, are also recalled.

Consumers are encouraged to destroy or return food to the store for reimbursement.

In case of ingestion, it is recommended to consult a doctor quickly if symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting and moderate fever appear within forty-eight hours.
