Lulu launches "Khair Al Emarat" offers to promote UAE agricultural products

LuLu Group, the leading retail retailer in the region, signed a memorandum of understanding with Elite Agro Holding to purchase and promote local agricultural products. Maryam Al Muhairi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and Youssef Ali Musliam, Managing Director and Chairman of LuLu Group.

This took place at LuLu Hypermarket, Al Forsan Central Mall in Abu Dhabi.

The memorandum of understanding includes that the Lulu Group will purchase 15,000 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables from Elite Agro over the next year, and they will be promoted and sold through Lulu hypermarkets in all its branches within the country.

On this occasion, Dr. Abdel Moneim Al Marzouqi, CEO and Managing Director of Elite Agro Holding, said: “The memorandum of understanding signed with the LuLu Group, which is one of the largest retail groups in the GCC, Asia and Africa, enhances our product offerings of healthy and locally grown fruits and vegetables. We look forward to consolidating our relationship with the leading group through this step, as part of our keenness to increase our production of local products that meet high quality standards and enjoy the trust of consumers.”



Al-Marzouqi added: “The memorandum of understanding confirms Elite Agro’s commitment to enhancing the productive capacities of local citizens’ farms, as well as raising the levels of food security and competitiveness in the United Arab Emirates, as we are keen to support the UAE Vision 2031, which was announced with the aim of increasing investment in the sector.” 100% food by 2030.”

Including the 51st UAE National Day celebrations, LuLu Hypermarket will launch "Khair Al Emarat" offers to promote local agricultural and non-agricultural products.

The week-long shows were inaugurated by Her Excellency Maryam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment.
