weather changed like midwinter overnight.

Citizens went to work wearing thick winter clothes and even scarves.

She crouches down and puts a hot pack on her face, but it's not enough to block the wind.

[Sung Yumi/Gangseo-gu, Seoul: I was embarrassed when I came out of the house in the morning because it suddenly got so cold.

Even wearing this, the wind is too cold.

My hands and feet are cold.]

The morning of the traditional market merchants is busier due to the sudden cold wave.

Cover the radish for kimchi with a cloth to prevent it from freezing,

[Jang Soo-yeon/Market Merchant: Freeze.

After all, it's tasteless when frozen, and the knife doesn't go in when cutting it.]

I also worry about displaying fruits.

[Cho Byeong-gu/Market Merchant: (If it's cold) It's a lot of trouble.

It can freeze, so I can't put out much.] The

morning temperature in Seoul dropped 16 degrees in one day to -6.9 degrees, and the felt temperature was -12 degrees.

The temperature at Mt. Seorak fell to -17.5 degrees Celsius, Paju -8.9 degrees, and Sejong -4.5 degrees, making it the coldest so far this fall.

The reason why the day became cold is because cold air of minus 35 degrees cooled from the North Pole covered the skies above our country.

As this cold air stays on the Korean Peninsula, it is expected that Seoul will reach minus 9 degrees tomorrow and Daegwallyeong will reach a peak of -14 degrees.

Heavy rain will continue through Friday.

The first snow fell in Seoul last night, and it is snowing now in Hallasan and the west coast.

[Kim Hyun-soo/Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do: I prepared in advance, but I didn't know that this much would come, so I think I'll have to sprinkle salt in advance and sweep hard this evening.]

Until the day after tomorrow, there is a lot of snow on the west coast of Honam and the west coast of Chungnam, and more than 7cm in the mountains of Jeju Island. This is to be expected.
