A rally was held in Tokyo on the 3rd to appeal for environmental improvements, such as reviewing the placement standards for nursery teachers, as the environment for childcare is becoming difficult due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

About 500 people including nursery teachers from all over the country gathered at the venue set up in Hibiya Park in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.

First, the representative of the organization appealed the difficult situation at the nursery site, saying, "In the midst of a labor shortage, the increase in work such as infection control due to the corona crisis is spurring us on.

With the establishment of the Children's and Family Affairs Agency in April of next year, we are requesting the government to improve the childcare environment, such as reviewing the placement standards for childcare workers at daycare centers and doubling the budget related to children and child-rearing. I made sure to go.

After this, the participants left for the parade while raising their voices such as "Let's protect childcare."

Nobuko Sanekata, vice chairman of the National Association of Childcare Organizations, said, "It is also necessary for children to have treatment and an environment suitable for childcare workers who require expertise. Improvements are required to protect both childcare workers and children. I want to continue," he said.
